Description
Woven string bag (bilum). The bag is rectangular, curved at the base and narrowing slightly toward mouth, where a thin handle is attached at top corners. The bag is brightly dyed in multiple colours, primarily blue, red, green and yellow, in horizontal strips of squared zigzag patterning on both front and back.

Collected during the donor's time as a missionary nurse in Papua New Guinea, 1964-1970.
