Hair Tie Ornament Item Number: 3133/34 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Two hair ornaments connected with a thin black thread. Each consists of three thick, tightly woven cords, with two pompoms attached to each cord, one at centre and one at bottom. One tie has orange cords, the other purple and white, both with areas of chevron patterning, and both with pompoms in a single colour: purple, orange, yellow or green.

History Of Use

Appears to be an end piece from a hair tie.

Narrative

This collection (3133/1-35) was brought to Vancouver by the donor's father's family, when they moved here from Bolivia in the 1940s.
