Byzantine coin of Tiberius II, 578-582. Obverse: bust of Tiberius II, facing front, wearing crown with cross; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to right, he holds a shield, above which is a cross; to left, inscription says ‘TIOCONS’; to right, it is illegible. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘[A]NNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘IIII’ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ‘Γ’; in exergue, ‘THE[ϤP]’.
