Byzantine coin of Maurice Tiberius, 582-602. Obverse: bust of Maurice Tiberius, facing front, with helmet; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to left, inscription is illegible; to right, it says ‘PPAVC’. Reverse: large ‘I’; to left, ‘ANN[O]’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘ϚI’; exergue is illegible, but most likely ‘[CAT]’.
