Byzantine coin of Maurice Tiberius, 582-602. Obverse: bust of Maurice Tiberius, facing front, wearing crown with cross attached; to left, he holds a globus cruciger; to right, a shield; to near left, inscription says ‘DN…C’; to far left, inscription says ‘PP’; to right, it says ‘ERAVC’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘XIII’ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ‘A’; in exergue, ‘CON’.
