Obverse: Two rulers standing and facing front, both wearing crowns; Phocas is on the left; Empress Leontia is on the right; to left, inscription says ‘FOCA’; to right, ‘NEPEA’. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘ϤI’; above, cross; in exergue, ‘THEϤP’.
