Byzantine coin of Justin II, 565-578. Obverse: two standing figures, facing front, both with haloes; Justin II is on the left and Sophia is on the right; they each hold long sceptres; between them, there is a globus cruciger; to the left, it says ‘VN’; to the right, ‘N’. Reverse: large ‘K’; to the left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to the right, ‘IIIII’ in a vertical position; above, cross; beneath, ‘R’.
