Coin Item Number: 3095/960 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: the entire obverse is difficult to decipher; there appears to be ‘CON’ and ‘IIII’ along one side, but this is from a previous coin; there may also be a figure holding a globus cruciger, but his face appears to have been overstruck with a cross, so this may also be from an earlier coin. Reverse: large ‘K’; to left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘XX’; above, cross; beneath, ‘T’. This coin has been overstruck.
