Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: two rulers standing and facing front; Heraclius is on the left; Heraclius Constantine, his son, is on the right; Heraclius is in military dress, holding a long cross, while Heraclius Constantine wears a chlamys, holding a globus cruciger; between their heads, there is a cross; to left, monogram. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘ANNO’ in a vertical position; to right, ‘[X]XII’ in a vertical position; above, ‘C’, with a cross above it; beneath, ‘A’; in exergue, ‘CON’. Monogram corresponds to number 26 in the Sear catalogue.
