Description

Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: two rulers standing and facing front; Heraclius is on the left; Heraclius Constantine, his son, is on the right; each holds a globus cruciger in their right hand; to left and right, there are illegible inscriptions. Reverse: large ‘M’; to left, ‘[AN]N[O]’; to right, ‘Ϥ’; beneath, ‘Δ’; in exergue, ‘[CO]N’; to left and right, there are illegible inscriptions. Coin has been overstruck, resulting in the inscriptions that belong to a previous coin.
