Description

Byzantine coin of Heraclius, 610-641. Obverse: two rulers seated on a double throne and facing front; Heraclius is on the left; Heraclius Constantine, his son, is the much shorter figure on the right; each wears a chlamys, a crown with cross, and holds a globus cruciger in their right hand; between their heads, there is another cross; to left, inscription says ‘ddNNhER’; to right, ‘hERACONSTPPA’. Reverse: large cross potent above a globe, resting on three steps; to left, inscription says ‘dEϤSAdIϤ’; to right, it is illegible.
