Moccasins Item Number: D3.194 a-b from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Description
Gather-toe type moccasin with high top. Laced in front with braided purple, orange and green laces. Embroidered with floral design in green, purple, red, and yellow on the vamp and near the tops of both sides. Top edged with fur. Triangular, zigzagging embroidery in blue and red around the heels.
Narrative
Said to have been collected near Lake Winnipeg c. 1900.
