Description

Doll wearing an amautik parka. Female doll has a head and face carved from antler, with inset eyes and mouth, and wide, slightly protruding nose. Black wool is attached to head for hair with a long ponytail at back. Doll’s parka and pants are made from half-tanned leather. Jacket has an amaut pouch attached at back for carrying a small child. Jacket shoulders have a fringe of beading, and beads are also attached at wrists, on amaut, and along hem front and back just above a short dense leather fringe. Pants are beaded at bottom, and end just above leather boots that have a heavy covering of fur.
