Description

Whistle made of two pieces of red cedar bound together with strips of cherry bark, also has a diaphragm or reed of cherry bark.

History Of Use

According to Della Kew this whistle was used during the Wol-wal-xxem Dance for the feeding of a novice spirit dancer. However, according to Howard and Larry Grant, the whistle would have been used in sxwayxwey dances, particularly by an eagle dancer (2005-02-04).
