Byzantine coin from the 12th to 13th centuries CE. Obverse: bust of the Virgin Mary, facing front; she has a halo; she raises her hands on either side of her in prayer; to right, inscription says āĪVā. Reverse: two figures, standing and facing front; to left, an emperor; he holds a labarum in his right hand, which is a military standard; to right, a saint with a halo. Coin is concave.
