Description
Byzantine coin from the 12th to 13th centuries CE. Obverse: bust of the Virgin Mary, facing front; she has a halo; she raises her hands on either side of her in prayer. Reverse: two figures, standing and facing front; to left, an emperor; to right, a saint with a halo; between them, they hold a labarum, which is a military standard. Coin is concave.
