Description

Halibut club. Wooden cudgel is made from a single piece of yew wood, with an oval head longer than it is wide and a long handle. Facets have been carved in the handle’s proximal end, while the grip is thinner and smooth. A pommel is carved at the end. A dark brown wood stain has been applied.

Narrative

Charlie Latimer worked on the coast building warves, from Vancouver up to Stewart BC, starting in the 1930s. He collected the object during that time.
