The face is finely carved, with eyes downcast, a thin protruding nose, small mouth in a pointed jaw, and an incised beard. Ears protrude. Hair is in a tonsured style, with a tuft on forehead. He wears a long belted robe with a wide collar that drapes down the back. A tin ring has been nailed to the back of the carving to represent a halo.
