Lime Spatula Item Number: 3092/19 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Lime spatula with intricate carvings along much of its length. Spatula has rounded edges, wide at the top, tapering slightly toward the tip. Two mirror image āCā shapes are bored through the wood at the top. Carved-out lines are filled with white lime.
From the collection of Sister Twyford or Miss J. Pearce (Australia), who had served as missionaries in the Trobriand Islands in the 1920s and Dobu Island in the 1930s.
