Description

Headdress with a frontlet with a bear design, painted blue around eyes, red mouth, fore and hind limbs, inlaid with abalone shell pieces. Abalone around bear, and extra row at each side. Headdress has sea lion whiskers at top, and ermine skins around head. Long cape with ermine pelts at back. Red cloth or black fibre, tied to some skins.

Chief's headdress. Worn by Tlha'sala dancer.

Said to have belonged to the mother of Mrs. Jim Hunt.
