« En plus de ceux qui viennent juste d’être décrits, il y a quatre paires de jambières dans la collection de Speck, dont deux sont identifiées comme ayant été portées par des femmes. Une de celles-là est faite d’une seule pièce de feutre de laine mauve bordée avec du ruban de coton vert. Juste à l’intérieur du rebord se trouvent des rangées de cordelettes de soie enroulé orange, mauve et vert. La couture est cousue de manière à laisser un rabat étroit à l’extérieur de la jambe sur les deux côtés. Ces jambières rétrécissent près de la cheville où on trouve une attache de soie rouge. À l’extrémité proximale se trouve une bande de ruban de coton rouge et blanc, possiblement pour attacher les jambières aux jarretières puisqu’elles sont trop courtes pour permettre à l’attache d’arriver à une ceinture (fig. 19a). »

« In addition to those just described, there are four pairs of leggings in the Speck collection, two of which are identified as having been worn by women. One of these is made of a single piece of purple wool felt edged with green cotton tape. Just inside the edge are rows of orange, purple, and green silk-wrapped cording. The seam is sewn so as to leave a narrow flap at the outside of the leg on either side. These leggings narrow near the ankle where there is a red silk tie. At the proximal end is a strip of red and white cotton tape, presumably to tie the leggings to garters since they are too short for the tie to reach to a belt (fig. 19a). »
