Description

Wooden figure of a cheetah. Cat is carved from several pieces of wood, with torso and head one piece, legs each separate pieces nailed onto the body in a running position. Tail is long and tapered at end, also nailed to body. The large round ears are inset and glued into the head. Eyes and mouth are incised and nose protrudes slightly. Whiskers and small spots are painted onto face, eyes are painted orange surrounded by black, and ears have short black lines. Body and legs are painted with the outline of large, irregular spots in black, each with a dot inside. Tail is painted with stripes and a black tip.
