Description
Large ceramic cup with handle. Body is round, bulbous at bottom and narrowing toward the shoulder. Rim flares out slightly and a handle spans from its edge to the body’s bottom. Foot is short, inset, and round. Designs have been incised onto the shoulder, in twist and pine needle patterns. Cup has a glossy shine, and is glazed blue at top, fading to green on the shoulder and orange on the body to the foot. Interior is uniformly blue.

Contemporary Latvian ceramics donated to MOA by Mr. Valdis Zatlers, President of the Republic of Latvia (2007-2011).
