Her hands are crossed in front of her, one holding a sash, the other on the child's chest. The boy points one hand to the left, and in the other he holds a book. He wears a striped robe, with decorative neck. His gaze is directed to the left, and eyes are prominent. In the top corners of the image sit a man and a woman shown from chest up, both with halos and circular motifs on their robes. They look toward Mary. Writing occurs in a panel at the bottom.
