Description

Wooden child's toy. Consists of a wood handle with a point at top, attached by a string to a wooden piece shaped like a small barrel with a hole at bottom. The handle is made of unfinished wood, with a thick white cotton string passing between handle and barrel. Barrel is painted with encircling stripes black, red, orange, dark green, grey and dark blue, and heavily lacquered to a high shine.

History Of Use

Sometimes referred to as the cup-and-ball game. Object of the game is to throw the barrel in the air and catch it by its hole with the point of the handle.
