Description

Model wooden totem pole. Figures, from bottom to top: 'Split Face' with three downwards-facing fish between, downwards facing sea bird, and a mythological creature with wings open and down to the side. Designs are painted in black, dark green and taupe. Back is plain, with a single metal eye bolt for mounting.

Narrative

Identified by Christopher Smith as being in a northern Tlingit style, possibly from the area around Klukwan, Alaska. Made of a hardwood, such as spruce or birch.
