Description

Women’s dark blue jacket with small side slits and side opening with three pink frog closures. Top closure has an embossed metal button with a blue painted centre. Part of jacket covered by side opening has a small rectangular pocket. Pink frog closure at collar and another to the left of the neck opening. Dark blue portions of jacket have various plants and Chinese characters embroidered in a lighter blue thread. Sleeves are edged with three black bands that are bordered with thin white, light green and pink stripes. Next to the bands, pink and blue flowers are embroidered on a black strip of fabric. Bordering the black strips are light blue bands with white flowers embroidered on them. Around the neck opening the same pattern of bands span the entire collar. The bands are wider at the front, reaching towards the chest, and thinner on the back, reaching just below the neck. To the right of the side opening, on the chest, a pink spiral-like creature is embroidered. The plain black chest bands end to the right of it, while the bands with flower embroidery continue underneath it. The bottom of the jacket has a plain black band border. The band has a thin pink stripe at the bottom and white and light green stripes at the top. Above that band there is a thin black line. In the corners of the jacket, where the sides meet the bottom hem, the thin black line is woven into three linked loops. The interior of the jacket has a light blue cotton lining.
