Description

Orange embroidered bag with strap and fringe attached to bottom corners. Bag front has central design of diamond pattern made up of pink, light blue, dark blue, dark purple, dark green, neon green, dark yellow, black, white and red triangles. Above central design is a band with a Greek key pattern done in pink and dark blue. Band trimmed with white, black and light green stripes on top and light blue and yellow stripes on bottom. Bottom of bag front embroidered with dark green, pink and dark blue lines. Bag back has three rows of geometric shapes done in black, dark green, red, light blue, pink, dark blue and neon green. Top of bag back bordered with red, yellow and light blue lines. Bottom of bag back bordered with pink, black and neon green lines. Both bag sides have small groupings of three stripes. First grouping on right side done in pink, black and yellow. Second grouping done in dark blue, pink and light blue. Third grouping done in black, light green and pink. Fourth grouping done in light blue, pink and dark blue. Bottom grouping done in light green, white and pink. First grouping on left side done in pink, black and yellow. Second grouping done in dark blue, pink and light blue. Third grouping done in black, yellow and dark green. Fourth grouping done in pink, light green and dark blue. Bottom grouping done in pink and white. Bag is hemmed and has interior lining.

Narrative

Made for Brian Zapf by the King's royal tailor when he was a teacher in Bhutan in the 1970s.
