Description

Orange embroidered bag with strap and fringe attached to bottom corners. Bag front has central design of indigo crisscross pattern with light green, pink, dark green and yellow diamonds inside of it. Dark green, yellow, light blue, light green and pink triangles around central design, pointing inwards. Above design is a light blue diamond shape with an indigo line in the centre of it. Lines radiate outward from diamond. On either side are V shapes with small lines pointing outward from them, towards their closest edge. V’s are done in black, dark green, pink and white. Section with V’s and the diamond trimmed with dark green, white and indigo stripes on top and light blue and red line stripes on bottom. Bottom of bag front embroidered with light blue, white, indigo and pink lines. Bag back has eight rows of diamonds done in indigo, pink, dark green, black yellow, white, red and light blue. Above rows is black diamond with lines radiating outward from it. On either side are V shapes with small lines pointing outward from them, towards their closest edge. V’s are done in pink, white and indigo. Section with V’s and the diamond trimmed with light blue and indigo stripes on top and light green and indigo stripes on bottom. Bottom of bag back embroidered with tan, dark blue, red and dark green lines. Both bag sides have small groupings of three stripes. First grouping on right side done in indigo and pink. Second grouping done in dark green and black. Third grouping done in red and yellow. Fourth grouping done in light blue and indigo. Fifth grouping done in pink and black. Bottom grouping done in indigo and light green. First grouping on left side done in indigo and light green. Second grouping done in pink and black. Third grouping done in dark green and indigo. Fourth grouping done in red and yellow. Fifth grouping done in indigo and light blue. Bottom grouping done in pink and light green. Bag is hemmed and has interior lining.

Made for Brian Zapf by the King's royal tailor when he was a teacher in Bhutan in the 1970s.
