Necklace Item Number: 3468/2 from the MOA: University of British Columbia
Beaded necklace with metal ornament hanging at the bottom. The necklace is composed of two strands of beads, featuring alternating sections of orange and white divided by a single blue bead. At the bottom hangs a small rectangular beaded panel with four repeating blue and orange triangles. Attached to the bottom of the panel, hangs a shaped piece of metal. The upper half is a half circle that joins into a stem-like projection. The whole metal piece has a thin, outwardly extending sharp point, running down through the centre.
Collected by the donor’s family between 1967 and 1970 during a time when they lived in South Africa.
