Description

Square ceramic tile from a set of nine tiles (parts a-i) that, when positioned together, form the upper left corner of a larger pattern. Surface and top side are glazed. White border along top edge, with inner white border towards centre of tile, dividing tile into two horizontal rectangles. Top rectangle is slightly thinner than the bottom. Both rectangles have dark yellow backgrounds. Dark red stylized triangle along left edge of upper rectangle and stylized dark red rectangle along right edge. Both are trimmed with white and filled with floral motifs done in white, dark blue and light blue. Two groupings of three dark blue and red flowers, with thin green leaves, between the triangle and rectangle. Bottom rectangle has assortment of dark blue, light blue and red flowers with thin green leaves and stems. Handwritten inscriptions on back of tile.
