Description

Off-white whale bone carving of a male head, with a wide nose, large ears and an open, oval-shaped mouth. Eyes are also oval-like with pointed tips. Area surrounding eyes is sunken, with eye outline and pupils carved in relief. The man's hair is raised and short. He has a slightly curved hairline along his forehead, hair tapers sharply along back of neck. Neck flares outward slightly, and has an angular base. Carving is unsigned.
