Description

Wooden horse-like figure in a standing position. Animal is carved from multiple pieces of wood; all components painted dark green. Head and body are one piece. Legs, tail and ears are separate. Legs and tail nailed to body. Ears are inset and secured with glue. Eyes and mouth are incised, nostrils painted on. Eyes are naturally coloured, mouth and nostrils are white. Inner ears are painted pink, with black lines along the outer edges. White wavy lines painted across forehead and along sides of neck, imitating a mane. White dashes painted across body. Long white lines painted down centre of back, and across shoulders and rump. Lines form a large "I" shape across top of body. White lines painted along length of tail.
