Description

Wooden leopard figure in a running position. Cat is carved from multiple pieces of wood; all components are painted light yellow. Head and body are one piece. Legs, tail and ears are separate. Legs and tail nailed to body. Ears are inset and secured with glue. Eyes and mouth are incised, nose carved in low relief. Incisions along front edges of all paws, imitating claws. Incisions are all painted black. Small whiskers and dots, done in black, painted across the face. Eyes and inner ears painted light pink. Body and legs decorated with the outline of large, irregular spots in black, each with a centre dot. Tail is painted with stripes and black tip.
