Description

Small wooden cat figure in a standing position. Cat is carved from multiple pieces of wood; all components are painted orange. Head and body are one piece. Legs, tail and ears are separate. Legs are nailed to body. Ears and tail are inset and secured with glue. Eyes and mouth are incised, nose carved in low relief. Incisions are all painted black. Eyes painted red with black lashes, whiskers and nose done in black. Inner ears are painted dark purple, with unpainted incised lines throughout. Black lines painted along front bottom edges of paws, imitating claws. Entire body decorated with large black, irregularly-shaped spots.
