Bear Ring Item Number: 3528/25 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Ivory coloured, carved ring with a polar bear straddling the top. The ring is thinner at the bottom, widening toward the carving; one side of the band becomes the front paws of the bear, the other side the back paws; the gap between each set of legs creates a circle. Tiny black dots mark the bear's eyes and nose; small black lines highlight the claws, and there are two small indents in the ears. The bear has a wide open mouth with an oval hole and two very small holes at each side of the mouth. Unsigned.
