Description

Light grey rectangular card with a black lithograph design on the right side; card is in horizontal orientation, design is vertical. Engraving is a rectangle and depicts an abstract underwater scene. Four tree-like trunks are spread throughout the image; trunk on left side splits in two, rest are straight. Wavy branch-like lines extend from all trunks; irregular shapes and curvilinear motifs done along lengths of trunks. In between the trunks on the left side, a bearded figure is swimming downward. His wide hands are touching bottom of image; right hand is in bottom left corner and left in bottom right. His legs point upward, feet extend past top edge of design. He is wearing shorts and his body is covered in bands with geometric patterns; similar designs across cheeks. On right side of design, there is a large inverted triangle with three human-like heads extending from the top edge. A figure, wearing a headdress and decorative robe, is on the front of the triangle. Their robe flares out at the bottom, covering the base of the triangle. Large swirls in the middle of the triangle, framing the robed figure on either side. Rest of triangle is covered in panels of solid colour, and linear and geometric bands. Artist signature and inscription in bottom right corner. Back is undecorated.
