Description

Mata Besik mask. Carved and painted wood. Humanoid, demon-like face with one large bulging eye, a protruding upturned nose and one large tusk-like teeth. Two gold horns extending up on either side of the head. Lips and gums painted dark red. Face is painted brown and has black textured lines around the cheeks, and chin. Eye is painted off-white, with large black pupil, and rimmed in red. Mask has holes cutout under eyes and in mouth. Thin black knotted string attached.
