Ink on paper drawing depicting a large wolf-like creature sitting at the left of the page, facing right. The creature is drawn with flowing lines, revealing details such as the ribs, and transparent in that you can see the background scenery through it. The scenery is composed of a solid ground in the foreground, with two bands indicating where the creature sits on the ground, horizontal lines indicating water, and a row of mountains, shrinking in size from left to right, in the background. Signed by artist.

Narrative

3583/1-2 are the original drawings used to illustrate a book of songs by Chief Sepass (Skowdale), recorded by Eloise Street in 1963, called "Sepass Tales: The Songs of Y-Ail-Mihth." (E. Street was the donor's mother-in-law.)
