Basket Item Number: 3579/2 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Carrying basket with straps. Large basket with a small round base, that gently expands up to a flared rim. A thick plaited strap is tied just below the flared top, and is threaded through the open weaving, leaving a loop on each side, and then threaded through and knotted at the base, creating two arm straps. The basket is made of two layers of fibres, stitched together with rows of stitching, spaced about an inch apart, which creates horizontal rings.
