Storage basket with designs woven in. Square bottom with alternating sections of large rectangle with horizontal bands and meandering design throughout three smaller stacked sections. Throughout these designs, large angled stripes cut through the finer designs.
The donor's parents lived in Caracas, Venezuela, for a few years in the 1970s, where they purchased these pieces (3579/1-11). The Yekuana people live mainly in Amazonas and Bolivar states.
