Dance Apron Item Number: 3558/2 from the MOA: University of British Columbia

Description

Black dance apron with leather fringe extending from the bottom edge. Apron has two long black ties on either side; two copper designs on front centre, done in red felt. Coppers have a bear design on the top half and "T"-like design on the bottom. White buttons are stitched across the red felt. Leather fringe alternates between plain and beaded pieces; additional antler decoration on fringe with beads. Beads consist of black, red and white circular beads and alternating black and white tube beads. Back of apron is undecorated.

Gifted to Thomas Berger in 1973, along with a button blanket (3558/1) and shirt (3558/3).
