Description

Ceramic bowl with gourd markings on surface. Shiny inclusions in the clay. Veritcal impressions along the inner edge of the rim. The clay is a light red-brown with swirls of a brighter red clay throughout.

History Of Use

Clay bowl created by moulding clay inside a gourd, then firing it. Illustrates the possible use of gourds in making early pottery.
