Description

Very small shiny black gourd container with cutout lid (part b). The design around the body is intricate groupings of flowers with alternating hummingbirds and insects in between. There is a solid gold band just below the rim. Lid is round with knob projection at centre. The rim is painted with small repeating fern-like leaves, which all face the same direction. A gold, red and blue star shape extends from around the knob. The knob itself is rounded with a gold knob and small white flower at centre. The interior of both the container and lid are red lacquer.
