Description

Painting on paper, attached to a board, in a wood frame. The image is of a plantation scene. There is a central building with six roosters standing on three different levels; at the right side there are five smaller buildings clustered together, on the left are six small buildings. There are six men standing in the foreground, with three tall trees and low bushes. There are trees along the horizon with a pale blue sky above. The main colours used are: various shades of green, pale yellow, light blue, red-brown, and dark blue. Artist signature in upper left corner: "Justo Susana . STD . RD . 67". The back of the frame shows cardboard backing, with small nails angled into the wooden frame; old hanging hooks and wire are attached to the frame.
