Description
Rectangular shape basket with a wood frame along the top and thin stripes of grass stiffened with cane splints. The overlaid grass weave creates a horizontal pattern. The top has a flap opening. The right side has remnants of a crescent shaped handle.

Purchased with a set of weaving implements inside--also see H1.188 a-h; said to be from the 12th century.
