Mask Item Number: 3706/9 from the MOA: University of British Columbia



Humanoid male mask with oval-shaped eyes, long protruding nose, and narrow face. Face is painted brown with, with black across the forehead and upper sides of face, imitating hair; hair carved in relief, with lines throughout. Carved handlebar moustache attached above open mouth, with identical lines carved across; painted black. Crescent-shape cut outs underneath eyes. Two holes drilled into either side of mask; interior is hollow.
Purchased by Frank Mayrs in the 1960s-1970s from shops and artists.
