Mask Item Number: 3706/8 from the MOA: University of British Columbia



Humanoid male mask with narrow eyes, long thin nose, and rectangular face. Face is painted red, with black around the sides of the head and across chin, imitating hair and beard. Carved handlebar moustache attached above small open mouth; painted black. Eyes, mouth, and nostrils are cut out. Two holes drilled into either side of mask, and one in centre of forehead. Interior is hollow.
Purchased by Frank Mayrs in the 1960s-1970s from shops and artists.
