Description

Ground stone pipe stem and bit fashioned from fine-grained grey basalt (?). Wide straight-sided groove encircling stem to form bit. Small longitudinal cuts into sides of bit. Cylindrical cross-section. Circular bore 3.99 mm in diameter.

"Birth Control Site" below Deadman's Eddy; Fraser Canyon, east side of river. Marked on accompanying map in small bay at location "021"; Bag 2/2.
