Description
Coiled cedar bark basket. Dark brown trapezoid decorations and loop, the trapezoid pattern is slanted to the left, a mark of Nlaka’pamux weavers. The small loop is connected to the top of the basket. It is a pale yellowish white, with medium brown details
Notes
Coil baskets which are unique to the Coast Salish area, originated in the Nlaka’pamux (Thompson) area and were shared with the Stó:lo people (Lower Fraser)
